Humane society investigating dumping of newborn puppies

The Hawaiian Humane Society is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible for putting a litter of newborn puppies into a dumpster at the Waiçanae Boat Harbor Tuesday morning.

Society officials are asking for anyone with information that could lead to an animal cruelty conviction to call the Humane Society at 356-2240 and leave a name, telephone number, the date and time, and how the caller can be reached.where the informant can be reached, and the date.
