Hawaii shores under high-surf advisory

Surf heights on the North Shore will gradually start decreasing today, the National Weather Service said.
A high-surf warning has been canceled and a high-surf advisory remains in effect through 6 p.m. today.
Surf along north- and west-facing shores of Kauai and north-facing shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui will be 18 feet to 22 feet through tonight and subside to heights of 15 feet to 20 feet on Tuesday, the weather service said.
Surf along west-facing shores of Molokai will be 10 feet to 14 feet through tonight and lower to heights of 8 feet to 12 feet on Tuesday.
