Nimitz Highway reopened following water main break

Advertiser Staff

Nimitz Highway has been reopened this morning after Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews completed repairs to a broken 16-inch water main between Waiakamilo Road and Alakawa Street.

Nimitz Highway had been closed in the westbound direction between Alakawa Street and Waiakamilo Road since last night.
The highway was reopened at 7 a.m. today.
No residential customers were affected by the break, the BWS said. However, some restaurants at 1130 N. Nimitz and at Pier 38 were without water and closed for the day on Saturday.
