MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves likely won’t have any All-Stars again this season, but Jonny Flynn and Kevin Love will participate in next month’s festivities.
Flynn will play guard for the rookie team, and Love will play forward against him for the sophomore team in the annual challenge between first and second-year players. It will be held on Friday, Feb. 12, in Dallas. The All-Star game is two days later.
Flynn, the sixth overall draft pick from Syracuse, is third among NBA rookies with 14.2 points per game. Love, the fifth overall draft pick from 2008 out of UCLA, is averaging 14.8 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.
