New Whole Foods Kahului partners with The Maui Farm

Advertiser Staff

The not-yet-opened Whole Foods Kahului store on Maui is already planning two community outreach projects in the next couple of months, in partnership with The Maui Farm, a non-profit residential program that assists families in transition to self-sufficiency.

On Feb. 11, Whole Foods employees will volunteer at The Maui Farm to help harvest and plant seeds for an herb garden; the Farm will sell herbs in the store's floral department.
On March 3, the Maui Farm will be the beneficiary of the store's first Community Support Day, with the store donating 5 percent of net sales to the agency. The Maui Farm will staff an information table in front of the store.
The Kahului store is the firm's second Island location and will open Feb. 24. Information: wholefoodsmarket.com/maui/
