Hanabusa reports raising $252,812 in 4th quarter '09

State Senate President Colleen Hanabusa, who is a candidate for Hawai'i's 1st Congressional District seat, yesterday announced she raised $252,812 in the fourth quarter of 2009.

Hanabusa has $218,697 in cash on hand, which she said is from 1,013 individual donors.

Candidates in the 1st Congressional District race are required to file a federal campaign spending report for the fourth quarter by Jan. 31. Other announced candidates are Democrat Ed Case and Republican Charles Djou. The incumbent, Democrat Neil Abercrombie, has announced he will resign next month to run for governor.
