Lanai curbside trash collection to resume Thursday

Advertiser Staff

Residential curbside refuse collection will resume on Lanai beginning Thursday, Maui County’s Environmental Management Solid Waste Division announced Monday.

The resumption of pickups follows completion of repairs to the Lanai’s automated refuse truck. The truck is scheduled to return to Lanai from Maui on Wednesday.
Customers are advised that beginning the week of March 8, Monday pickups will be made on Wednesdays.
In order to restart refuse service as soon as possible, the following schedule will be in effect:
Thursday — Pick-up for customers who normally receive service on Monday.
Friday — Pick-up for customers who normally receive service on Tuesday.
March 8 — No collection.
March 9 — Regularly scheduled pick-up for Tuesday customers.
March 10 — Customers who normally receive service on Mondays will now receive service on Wednesdays.
