CBKB: Boise State fires Graham after 8 seasons

BOISE, Idaho — Greg Graham has been fired as head coach at Boise State.
Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier announces the decision Friday, saying it was time for a change in leadership. The move comes one day after the Broncos were trounced by Utah State 84-60 in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference tournament.
Graham had a 142-112 record in eight seasons with the Broncos. He led them to a WAC championship two years ago, but the team struggled this year, finishing 15-17 overall and 5-11 in conference play.
Bleymaier said Graham has been placed on administrative leave and relieved of his coaching duties. He has one year remaining under a contract signed two years ago.
