Migita to step down as chairman, president and CEO of Central Pacific

The parent of Central Pacific Bank today appointed venture capital executive and turnaround expert as its new executive chairman.

John W. Dean will replace Ronald Migita, who will retire as chairman, president and CEO of the company, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Dean is managing general partner of Startup Capital Ventures, a Palo Alto-based venture capital fund. From 1993 to 2001, he served as CEO of Silicon Valley Bank.
