Pearl City car crash kills Pearl City man
A 47-year-old man died after veering into two parked cars on Komo Mai Drive, just north of Apoepoe Street in Pearl City late this afternoon, police said.
The man is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest, police said. The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office did not release the man's name.
The driver was south on Komo Mai Drive when his 1994 Mercury sedan veered into two parked cars. The man did not appear to have any visible injuries, police said, but the man was pronounced dead at Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi later at 5:30 p.m.
The man is Oahu's 18th traffic fatality, compared to 16 last year.
Police said that it is unknown if speed, alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision that occurred under clear skies.
