Hawaii had lowest cancer diagnosis rate in nation last year

Hawaiçi had the lowest cancer diagnosis rate in the nation last year with only 4.3 percent of residents reporting they’d been diagnosed with the disease, according to the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.

People in Maine, South Dakota, and Florida are more than twice as likely to report having been diagnosed with cancer than those in Hawaiçi, according to the report. Florida had the nation’s highest rate at 8.9 percent.
