Central Oahu residents asked to conserve water

Residents in Wahiawa, Waipio Acres and the Mililani Technology Park are being asked to conserve water because of problems at a construction project, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply said.

Water is to be used for essential purposes only, such as for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene. Residents should refrain from doing laundry, watering lawns or washing cars until further notice.
The BWS said “unforseen difficulties” at a source station construction project led officials to call for the water conservation. The construction work is expected to be completed Wednesday.
