Hawaiian families select home lots on Kauai
Twelve families chose Department of Hawaiian Home Lands lots for homes in Anahola, Kauai, on Saturday, the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement said today.
The families qualified for the lots under the council’s Homestead Self Help Program.
“We are so excited for this day,” said Halan Kamoku-Fernandez, a member of one of the families. “We have been waiting a long time.”
The families will live in new four-bedroom, two-bathroom homes at Piilani Mai Ke Kai subdivision.
