Sixty Hawaii high school seniors will receive $96,000 in scholarships Saturday at the 18th Takitani Scholarships Awards Luncheon.

City prosecutor Peter Carlisle will speak at the event, which will be held at Waialae Country Club.

The Mamoru and Aiko Takitani Foundation will present two $10,000 scholarships, one $5,000 scholarship and seven $3,000 scholarships to its top winners. Fifty students will be awarded $1,000 scholarships.

Mamoru and Aiko Takitani founded Hawaiian Host Inc. Since 1993, their foundation has awarded $1.5 million in scholarships to Hawaii students.
