Lafortune wins fourth state judo title, leads Moanalua to team title

Moanalua senior Brady Lafortune won his fourth straight state judo title, helping Na Menehune win the boys team title at today's HHSAA Championships at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Lafortune won his 132-pound final against Kapolei's Tyler Kono by ippon. Moanalua placed five boys in the championship matches to finish with 69 points. Kamehameha was second with 56.

Punahou won its second straight girls team title behind four first-place finishes. Erin Uehara won at 98, Chrissy Chow won at 129, Mindy Chow won at 139 and Kaimana Lundquist won at 154. The Buffanblu finished with 85 points. Pearl City was second with 54 points.
