It was HPU's first NCAA regional win after losing in its debut Thursday.

Amaral hit his homer to left field to give HPU a 4-3 lead. The Sea Warriors added an unearned run when Kale Sumner walked and later scored on a throwing error by the shortstop.

HPU scored six runs on six hits in the eighth, including a two-run double by Amaral.

Inouye (8-2) spaced eight hits while striking out three and walking two.

The Sea Warriors (38-11) play Cal State Dominguez Hills at 9 a.m. Hawai'i time in the double-elimination tournament.
