A 29-year-old Waikiki man was arrested Wednesday night after a woman told police he kidnapped, assaulted and sexually assaulted her.

The woman, 23, told police she had been arguing with the man about 10:30 p.m. when he held her against her will, demanded to have sex with her and then assaulted her.

Police said the suspect left the scene before officers arrived, but returned later.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault and kidnapping.
