A man with a semiautomatic handgun robbed American Savings Bank's branch at 1851 North King St. this morning.

The robbery happened at about 10 a.m.

Police Sgt. Keith Marini said surveillance video shows the suspect waving the weapon at two tellers.

After getting money from both tellers, the man fled, heading north on King Street.

CrimeStoppers said the man was described as being in his 30s to 40s, about 5 feet 4 or 5 feet 5 and between 180 and 200 pounds.

He was wearing jeans and a black shirt.
