Honolulu Fire Department personnel rescued a female hiker who injured her ankle on the Waialae Iki Trail Thursday afternoon.

Air rescue specialists were sent to assist the woman, who was "two hours up" on the trail, according to HFD Capt. Earle K. Kealoha Jr. The call came in at 4:20 p.m., and the woman was airlifted to safety.
