A 54-year-old man was arrested Saturday after allegedly punching and pulling a knife on another passenger aboard a city bus.

The incident happened about 2:15 p.m., as the bus was traveling on Pali Highway.

Police said the suspect was "acting belligerent," so the victim approached him and tried to calm him down.

That's when the suspect allegedly punched the victim, a 48-year-old man, in the face. The suspect then allegedly pulled a knife, and the victim and suspect wrestled.

Other passengers intervened and the bus stopped. Police said the suspect fled, but was later arrested.
