Hawaii Pacific University will hold auditions for its spring production, "Dark of the Moon," at 7 p.m. today and at noon Saturday and Sunday at HPU’s Windward campus, 45-045 Kamehameha Hwy.

The play, by Howard Richardson and William Berney, was a hit on Broadway and in London in the 1940s. It is set in the Smoky Mountains and tells the story of a witch boy who falls in love with the beautiful Barbara Allen. Joyce Maltby will direct.

Roles for 12 men and 11 women of various ages, from young teens to older adults, are available. At least two actors are needed to play a variety of musical instruments.

The play will be staged April 6 through May 6 at HPU.

Information: 254-0853 or 236-7917.
