The University of Hawai‘i football team has verbal commitments from four of the top 12 high school players in the state.
In 2000, the Warriors made a clean sweep, signing the top 10 local prospects. The drop off is significant, but not unexpected. At this time last year, the Warriors were recruiting off a bowl-championship season; this time, they are coming off a 3-9 year.
But the Warrior coaches believe they have fulfilled all of their recruiting needs as Wednesday’s national signing date nears.
