'Iolani beats Maryknoll to clinch tie for ILH title

Tyler McCready scored 22 points as Iolani rallied to defeat Maryknoll, 72-55, to clinch a tie for the Interscholastic League of Honolulu championship last night at ’Iolani.

The Raiders are 10-1. St. Louis, which beat Kamehameha, 48-40, is second at 7-2.

Bobby Nash added 14 points, Bobby Webster 12 and Derrick Low 11 for the Raiders, who trailed 46-44 entering the fourth quarter, but outscored the Spartans, 28-9, the rest of the way.

Russell Sypowicz scored 17 and Ryan Hirata 16 to keep Maryknoll close.
