Here’s this week’s top entry.

On the day of my niece’s wedding, nearly a dozen women in our family got ready in a single hotel room. It was hot and stuffy, so we grabbed any elastic and "scrunchie" we could find to tie up our hair while we rushed around getting ready.

Several hours later at the wedding reception, it was time for the garter toss. The bride turned to her mother and asked for the garter. Her mother was supposed to be holding the garter, which was in baby-blue satin and had a $50 bill tucked inside. But when she looked in her purse, it was gone.

A frantic search ensued. And then someone noticed that one of the cousins still had her hair tied up in a new baby-blue satin scrunchie. She never even noticed the cash pinned in the lace!
