MUST SEE: "Friends," 7 p.m., NBC. Ever since Rachel hired a handsome young assistant she’s been obsessed with the guy. Now she’s ready to sleep with him. Work, alas, might interfere.

"Scream," 7 p.m., Fox. Here’s another chance to see the 1996 movie that’s several steps above most teen horror films. One difference is the clever script, sometimes taking nods at horror-film traditions. Another is the terrific cast, led by Neve Campbell and the now-married Courteney Cox and David Arquette. Most important, however, is the skillful direction of Wes Craven. The beginning — with a cameo by Drew Barrymore — is gruesome but brilliant.

"The Weber Show," 7:30 p.m., NBC. How far must someone go to please a date? Now Melissa is expected to prepare a meal.

"Will and Grace," 8 p.m., NBC. Sandra Bernhard plays herself, selling her condo.
