MUST-SEE: "NYPD Blue," 9 p.m., ABC. Last weeks season-opener ended in a burst of passion: Danny and Diane (Rick Schroder and Kim Delaney) ended up falling in lust. Its a mismatch, of course. Hes the young cop who replaced her late husband; she insists (exaggerating a little) that shes old enough to be his mother. Still, they clicked. Tonights episode starts with them in bed and quite happy with each other. Bigger problems loom, however. Last week Andy had his son tested for cancer. Today he finds out the results. And last week officials persisted with their corruption charges against the precinct. Now the cops scramble to prove themselves innocent.
"Nova," 8 p.m., PBS. While Europeans were merely dreaming of treasure, the Chinese were sailing the seas with their riches. This hour focuses on the search for the remains of treasure that sank in the South China Sea more than five centuries ago. Divers plunge more than 200 feet to find it.
"Frasier," 8 p.m., NBC. Frasiers son, Frederick, is back. And now woe to his intellectual dad hes obsessed with video games.
"Three Sisters," 8:30 p.m., NBC. After a fairly good start last week this comedy has some better episodes ahead. Tonight its time for Bess to have her baby; that stirs up the entire family.
