Barnwell board raises dividend

Barnwell Industries Inc.’s board of directors yesterday raised the company’s dividend 33 percent to 20 cents a share.

The dividend is payable March 30 to shareholders of record on March 16. Morton Kinzler, Barnwell’s chairman and chief executive, said higher oil and natural gas prices and their continued favorable outlook made it an appropriate time to raise the dividend to shareholders of the oil and gas exploration company.


E-commerce to be discussed

An e-commerce conference designed to demonstrate strategies to profit from the Internet will be Thursday to Saturday at the Outrigger Waikoloa Beach Hotel on the Big Island.
