ALAN "AL" DATE, 85, of Honolulu, died Feb. 19, 2001. Born in Kipapa, Ewa. Member of 1399 Veterans Club. EDWARD JONAH EBINGER, 81, of Kailua, died March 1, 2001. Born on Kauai. A detective retired from the Honolulu Police Department and a musician with Aloha and Hawaiian Airlines. Survived by wife, Violet; son, Edward Jr.; daughters, Winona Anzalone, Edwina Johnson, Deanna McFadden and Loretta; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Abraham Lovell; sister, Bernice. NESTOR D. FLORES, 73, of San Antonio, Texas, died Feb. 25, 2001. Born in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Frequent isle visitor. KITARU HIROE, 85, of Wahiawa, died March 1, 2001. Born in Waialua, Oahu. Retired from Dole Pineapple Company.
