Tip-Off
Comedy show opens here March 20

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Editor

"The Exhibitionists," a widely applauded international comedy, will make its Hawaii debut at 8 p.m. March 20 at The Arts at Marks Garage, a new cultural hub on Pauahi Street in downtown Honolulu.

The comedy, from the Ridiculusmus Theatre Company, is in the Monty Python tradition. Performances will run through March 24.

It has been likened to Mr. Bean and the Blue Man Group because of its off-center hilarity. The show travels internationally throughout the year.

It is set in an art gallery and follows a day in the lives of four security guards doing mundane tasks like keeping the gallery quiet and clean. Antics to sweep away boredom ensue.

The production is the first in a new venue that is part gallery and part studio theater at Marks Garage.

The show is being presented by The Contemporary Museum and Tim Bostock Productions.

Tickets: $18 ($15 in advance), on sale at the Hawaii Theatre box office. Charge by phone: 528-0506.
