MUST-SEE: "Survivor: The Australian Outback" (7 p.m.) and "Big Apple" (8 p.m.), CBS: Due to college basketball games, "Survivor" and the new "Big Apple" are borrowing a Wednesday spot. By now, the "Survivor" lineup is down to nine people. Meanwhile, "Big Apple" brings in Dylan Baker, a "Murder One" star to play an FBI administrator.

MUST-SEE II: "The Job" premiere, 8:30, ABC: This series seems determined to break every rule for situation comedies. It has no laugh track and few punch lines. It also has a lead character who’s easy to dislike. That’s Mike McNeil, a New York detective. He smokes, drinks, pops pills and isn’t much help in a footrace. Still, this show quickly pulls us in. Denis Leary gives McNeil a jittery intelligence.

"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC: A filibuster ruins weekend plans.

"American Justice," 7 p.m., Arts and Entertainment: Here’s the real story behind "Erin Brockovich."

"Lone Wolf McQuade," 9 p.m., USA Network (1983): This was one of the best of the Chuck Norris movies, skillfully directed by Steve Carver. Norris plays a Texas Ranger, fighting an evil gunrunner (David Carradine).
