To maximize ocean views for its 453 rooms, the tower was built perpendicular to the resort's other towers, which block much of Waikiki beach. Fifty-four percent of Kalia rooms have an ocean view.
Sixteen executive suites make up the top floor of the tower, offering ocean views. The top of the resort's parking garage has been painted with a Hawaiian quilt pattern.
