A 40-foot ceiling in the lobby helped elevate guest room floors so the lowest room floor would have a view over the Coral Ballroom/parking garage. Because there is no basement, palm trees could be planted directly in the ground. The ceiling is high enough to accommodate four mature palm trees.
Three local artists have work in the tower, including Yvonne Cheng's 18-foot-by-18-foot mural in the lobby.
