Benjamine Hale, a member of the Navajo tribe, was among participants Saturday at the 27th annual Pow Wow at Thomas Square. The Pow Wow continued Sunday, featuring native drumming, dancing and singing, arts, crafts and food.

Juniors and seniors from Kamehameha Schools fill the ocean off Ala Moana during a training session for the Nov. 18 YMCA Turkey Swim. Each year, high schoolers must participate in a combination of swimming, biking and running to satisfy physical education requirements. The Turkey Swim is a little more than 1.2 miles.
