• If Mayor Jeremy Harris resigns to run for governor as expected by the July 23 deadline for filing candidacy papers, the city managing director will become acting mayor. A special election would then be held in conjunction with the Sept. 21 primary election. That means the new mayor could be sworn in as early as Oct. 11. Because of an editor's error, a Local News story posted yesterday was incorrect.

• The state Department of Land and Natural Resources used light equipment to move boulders, regrade and widen a viewing area at Manoa Falls. Because of a reporter's error, a Local News story posted Tuesday incorrectly said heavy equipment was used.

• The kidneys of 7-year-old Zaney Ann Kalama-Baker of Hana, Maui, who died last month after being buried under 3 feet of sand, were transplanted into two adults. Because of misinformation from a news source, a Local News story posted yesterday was incorrect.

• Tonight's student art exhibit at the Waialua Public Library begins at 6:30 p.m. Because of a reporter's error, the wrong time was given in a Local News brief posted yesterday.
