WILFRED "BUNT" BALDWIN, who rose from the position of a horseback-riding supervisor to overseeing Amfac's five sugar plantations on four islands, died Tuesday. He was 89. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Anne; son, Peter; daughters, Celie Williams and Mary Agnes; and five grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the family's residence, 5451 Waila'au Road, Koloa. No flowers. Casual attire. Donations to The Rotary Foundation or Wilcox Hospital Foundation. DONN WENDELL CARLSMITH, a longtime Hilo resident and a retired partner in the law firm of Carlsmith Ball LLP, died Wednesday in Honolulu. He was 73. Carlsmith is survived by his mother, Edith Mattson Carlsmith; daughter, Kandy Jean Carlsmith; son, Harvey Scott Carlsmith; sister, Edith Gayle Carlsmith; brother, C. Duane Carlsmith; and nephews and nieces. Funeral arrangements are pending.

RONALD JAMES CARVALHO III, 22 months, of Honolulu, died Feb. 8, 2003. Born in Honolulu. WILLIAM "BILL" LEE MORSE, who rose from deejay to radio executive in Hawai'i, died Feb. 7 at his home in Birmingham, Ala., after a long battle with cancer. He was 62. Services have been held in Birmingham, and the family plans to have his ashes scattered in Hawai'i, according to longtime friend and colleague Ron Cooper of Kailua.

MYRON JAMES "JIMMY" OLSEN, 59, of Ka'a'awa, died Feb. 14, 2003. Born in Honolulu. A Kamehameha Schools Continuing Education teacher and counselor; Hawai'i Youth Correctional Facility, Olomana School, Wai'anae High School and Washington Intermediate School teacher; also crafter of the porpoises sculpture at Sea Life Park entrance.
