• A headline about University of Hawai'i basketball guard Carl English on a Sports story posted Sunday — "English under scrutiny by NBA" — was misleading. The story said that English will participate in an NBA pre-draft camp and has scheduled workouts with various teams.

• Two Hawai'i students will represent the state in the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation World Leadership Congress next month. The name of the organization was incorrect in an item in the Salutes listing posted Sunday.

• The Hawaii Technology Trade Association sent an e-mail in May congratulating its members for helping thwart Gov. Linda Lingle's proposed changes to Act 221, which deals with high-technology tax credits. The e-mail also asked association members to "offer a hand" to Lingle, to refrain from "overly aggressive tax strategy" and to cooperate with the Tax Department. The HI. Tech column posted yesterday incorrectly characterized the contents of the e-mail.

• Mark Moki Hanohano has been a sergeant in the sheriff's division of the state Department of Public Safety. An item in the Hawai'i briefs posted yesterday was incomplete.

• Reid Saito's name was inadvertently omitted from the list of Iolani School's honorable mention selections in a Sports story posted yesterday.
