• The 2nd annual Waikiki Spam Jam takes place April 23 and 24. The Spam Building contest is noon to 1 p.m. April 23 at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Kalakaua Avenue will be closed from 4 to 10 p.m. April 24 for festival events. For more information, call 545-4195. An item in the Quick Bites column posted yesterday omitted some information.

• Honolulu Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo, who is leaving next month to head the Richmond Diocese, does not regret his decision to speak out against same-sex marriage in 1998. That point was unclear in a Local News story posted yesterday.
