Vieira gives Owls first win over Warriors

Jasmine Vieira scored on a layup at the buzzer to lead Mid-Pacific to its first victory over Kamehameha in school history, 35-34, in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu girls basketball game last night.

Mid-Pacific's scoring was equally distributed, with Morgen Sullivan getting the team's high of nine points.

Warrior Mounia Nihipali earned the game's high with 13 points.

Nicole Lehner scored 11 points and Karis Moi-Simeona 10 for Sacred Hearts.

Cheryl Lee and Jessica Akamine added 11 apiece, and Tammie Andres 10 for Maryknoll, which made 24 of 28 free throws.

Monica Chock scored a game-high 18 points for St. Francis.
