Jessica Ghazali pitched a five-hitter as University High upset Iolani, 4-3, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu game at Ala Wai field.

The Junior Rainbows (6-7) remained in contention for the league's Division II state berth. The Raiders (8-3-1) still have a shot at the league's second Division I state berth.

Yesterday's scheduled doubleheader at Kamehameha — Maryknoll vs. Kamehameha, and Punahou vs. Hawai'i Baptist/St. Andrew's/St. Francis — was rained out.

Tiff Rodrigues had two hits and Tara Yanagihara had two RBIs for Iolani, which led 3-0 after the top of the third.

University High scored two runs in the third and two in the fourth — the tying run on Reseene Choy's RBI single, the tie-breaking run on an error by the shortstop — to take the lead for good.

The Raiders threatened in the sixth, putting their first two runners aboard. But catcher Iwalani Yamaguchi picked a runner off first base, and Ghazali got the next two batters — on a popout and a groundout.
