• Portuguese menu items are available as lunch and dinner specials at the Ala Moana Hotel's Plantation Cafe Tuesday through Thursday and Friday lunchtime through July 25, as well as being part of Friday and Saturday night buffets and Sunday brunch. An item in a Taste story posted yesterday was unclear.

• The law firm Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks is the largest personal injury litigator in Hawai'i. A Local News story posted yesterday incorrectly described the firm.

• Gov. Linda Lingle was mayor of Maui for eight years. An editorial page column posted yesterday incorrectly said no county mayor in Hawai'i has ever gone on to be governor or U.S. senator.
