• A Business story and chart posted Sunday about the state pension fund's retirement plans included some information that was incorrect. In the chart, under noncontributory plan, it should have said that eligibility requirements were age 62 and 10 years of service or age 55 and 30 years of service. Under contributory plan, it should have said age 55 and 5 years of service. Also, the contributory plan was closed to most employees and a non-contributory plan was created because members wanted to invest in higher interest-rate alternatives elsewhere. The story contained different information. The pension fund will be requesting a private letter ruling from the IRS to see whether members can convert from past, non-contributory years of service to the hybrid plan.

• The Honolulu Academy of Arts' Free Sunday program, sponsored by Bank of Hawaii, takes place 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 18, with music, children's activities and a family gallery hunt. An Island Life story posted Sunday incorrectly said the event was this past Sunday.

• In a Business story posted yesterday, the Associated Press incorrectly identified wages at a French call center in Senegal. Wages range from $200 to $500 a month, and the minimum wage in Senegal is $85 a month.
