Aikido

Basketball

Bowling

• March 26 — March Madness Junior Bowling Scholarship Tournament. Held at the Naval Station Bowling Center, the event begins at 8:30 a.m. Fee: $25. Information: Audrey 539-4459.



Boxing

• March 20-21 — Hawai'i State Junior Olympic Championships. Held at Wailuku War Memorial Gym. Bouts begin 7 p.m. (March 20) and noon (March 21). Information: Bruce Kawano 542-1181 or Ralph Martin 306-7654.



Equestrian

• March 13-14—Aloha State Dressage Society. The first show of the season will be at Maunawili Farm and Hilltop Equestrian Center, respectively. Show begins at 8 a.m. Free.



Hiking

• March 27— The Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i Honouliuli Preserve, Kalua'a Loop Trail, 3 miles, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Considered moderate, begins gradually uphill. Cost is $10. Reservations are required. Call 587-6220.



Karate

• Funakoshi Shotokan is accepting new members. The traditional karate and self-defense classes will be held at Manoa District Park. Infromation: 371-7670 or www.fskd.8m.com.

• Ongoing — American Karate Kai Classes. At 'Ewa Beach Kamiloa Elementary School and 'Aina Haina Holy Nativity Church Gym. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Self-defense classes available for women. Information: Lee Donohue, 396-9297.



Lacrosse

Running

• March 14—The Honolulu Marathon Clinic. The informative classes will be held every Sunday, unless three-day weekend, at Kapiolani Park, 7:30 a.m. Free. Infromation: marathonclinic@hawaii.rr.com.

•March 14—Johnny Faerber 10K and 3K Keiki Challenge. 10K race at 6 a.m., followed by Keiki run at Kapi'olani Park. Race fee for 10K are $10 for Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club members, $15 for others. Keiki run fee is $12. Information: 295-6777.

• March 20—The Big Island Marathon Health/Fitness Expo. The 15-booth expo will be held at the Hawai'i Naniloa Resort from noon to 6 p.m. Information: 969-7400.

• March 21—Norman Tamanaha Memorial 15K run. Start and finish at Kapi'olani Park, start time 6 a.m. Fee: $15. Information: 295-6777.



Soccer
