Windsurfing for kids

Free instruction will be provided on a "Windsurfing Day for Kids" event to be held tomorrow at Kanaha Beach Park in Kahului, Maui.

Presented by Maui Sports Unlimited and Hot Sails Maui, the event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Equipment will be provided, though participants can bring their own reef shoes, life vest, rash guard or equipment. For information, call (808) 877-7778 or (808) 893-0001

Police hoop-la

The Law Enforcement Basketball Tournament is being held through Saturday at Manoa District Park. Teams from all four police counties will be participating. The tournament features 30 teams competing in four divisions.

Girls basketball camp

The Christian Academy Patriots will hold a basketball summer clinic from June 1 to July 29 for girls entering the seventh to 12th grades. Camps will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Coast Guard Gym on Sand Island Parkway. Information: Robert Helsham, 836-4446.
