What's open, closed Veterans Day

Here's what will be open and closed today, Veterans Day:

  • Government: City, state and federal offices, closed.
  • Mail: All post offices closed; no regular residential or business delivery or pickup; no pickup from (blue) collection boxes; Express Mail delivered.
  • Libraries: All libraries closed.
  • Attractions: City golf courses, Honolulu Zoo and botanical gardens, open.
  • TheBus: Saturday schedule. Call 848-5555 or visit thebus.org.
  • Handi-Vans: Normal schedule.
  • On-street parking: Free, except for Kalakaua Avenue metered stalls along Kapi'olani Park, makai side; holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign; meters in municipal lots must be fed.
  • Traffic: No coning.
  • Trash: Regular rubbish pickup.
  • Landfills: Open.
  • Open markets: Closed.
