• Island Insurance has appointed John F. Schapperle as executive vice president. His name was incorrect in the Trade Winds column posted yesterday.

• The patch worn by today's 100th Battalion soldiers is the same one second-generation Japanese-Americans wore into battle as members of the battalion during World War II. Information in a Local News story posted Saturday was incorrect.
