My thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Our soldiers are the very best Americans, I appreciate their sacrifice and that of their loved ones.
We are able to live a life free from evil threats simply because of the brave soldiers who defend us.
My endless thanks for all these brave soldiers who will be sadly missed.

It's amazing to go about one's day complaining about the little things in life. To forget to say a simple thank you, your welcome, hello or even goodbye. To think that not being able to finish your work on time or forgetting where you put something is such a trivial matter compared to what some of our men and women face everyday. We say the pledge of allegiance everyday during the week and pause for a moment of silence. To some people it's just a waste of time, but to others it's away to show appreciation for what our men and women do for us and others. I just want to say thank you, your welcome, hello and to some goodbye. Have a good one! May the rest of you have a safe and speedy return.

To lose but one of our sons or daughters to war is tragedy enough for me. To see Hawai'i lose 27 of its children in a single event is more than any one family should endure. I, my wife, and my 3 daughters share your grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and forever.

Last evening while talking to a friend she had expressed that she spoke with her significant other earlier during the day about 8 maybe 830 am. She told me that his troop was leaving Iraq in about four hours. Now this is 12 noon hawaii time. Not realizing what my friend was saying, she was already letting me know that her significant other might have been one of the soldiers that was on the chopper that killed the 28 soldiers. My prayers are going out to her because she has not yet been notified but this war is closer to home then most think and I would appreciate it if you share my notes with others, because if he was one of the soldiers that was killed he will never be able to see his daughters' smile when she is born in April.

Aloha, Last night I came home to see and hear the most saddest
news. 27 United States Marines were from my home state of
Hawaii. My heart, spirit, and soul was empty. The loss too great
for words. I picked up the telephone and called Kaneohe Bay
Marine Corps. A Marine answered the phone and I expressed to
him and his fellow officers my deepest condolences to all the
families who are now without a beloved family member. To
touch one life in expressing such deep emotion, was as I type
this now, to reach thousands more. My father is a retired United
States Marine Colonel. I have seen through my father's life in the
USMC, what duty, honor, and respect means. To each family who
has lost a loved one in this and every war, I wish you peace and
love beyond all understanding.

We are so deeply saddened for your personal loss and this loss of our troops. We just returned from vacationing on your beautiful island.
While there a memorial was given for the soldiers that had already been lost. The newspaper showed a picture of a soldier crying over finding out that his friend was one that died he did not know it. This touched us so very much. Your people are kind, beautiful cousins and we hurt deeply with you. God bless and look over each of you.

When military get stationed in Hawai'i, the community actually sees them as Hawai'i's own. And so it is difficult when we loose any of them. These men and women put everything on the line for their country, and deserve our greatest respect. It would be nice if the communities of America would show it before our armed forces put themselves in harms way. Now would be a good time.

Just two weeks ago, was delivering pizzas to a group of proud, well trained, and confident men at Kaneohe MCB. Young men in their prime high on life, and proud of the work they are doing. To hear the news that maybe not those exact men but people that they knew and worked with, prayed with, and trained with lost their lives in a terrible accident emotionally drained me. I actually cried in my car when I heard the news.
My father is retired Air Force. I have lived in the military community almost my whole life. I have seen the grief for one solider losing his life in that military extended family. The loss of so many in one moment is devestating. My heart goes out to all those marines, not just in Hawaii, but all over the world. I hope they know that were behind them.

I want to reach out to their families, each one was someone's father, son, husband, brother, friend. Another Marine who will not make it home. Thank you to all Marines and their families, who make it possible for us enjoy our freedoms. I have the utmost respect for you all. Always faithful, always true, always there, no matter what! Semper Fi, you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless their honored souls, and may He welcome them unto His kingdom. One day the job they chose to take on will reach its successful end, then maybe the rest of us can come back together as a united nation in spirit, purpose and direction. Thank you to all of our brave troops for protecting us all! We can never be who we are without the sacrifice and commitment you and yours give this great nation we can fortunately call the United Stated of America. SIEMPRE FI...

They are all our children. Every parent, sibling, child, spouse and loved one of a Kaneohe Marine should be proud. Our sincere condolences, support and prayers for all. Growing up with the Marine Base in our backyard, the constant ebb and flow of young baby faces - these are truly the sons and daughters of Hawaii and the United States.

It is the highest privelege and the greatest honor to have spent time knowing and living life with these brave men and women. While their passing leaves a deep emptiness in the lives of their friends and family, we are reminded that they gave to us the greatest gift that they can offer and that is their lives and their commitment toward a better life for those left behind. We celebrate their lives by remembering their grace and presence in our own lives, and in doing so further define our Selve through our interactions with them. To all the families and friends who lost loved ones in the War, we praise and honor your fallen in the highest and we thank you for sharing their lives with us.

I am blessed to have an incredible friend serving in Irag who is a Kaneohe Marine. I pray for her and the other BRAVE men and women serving in our Armed forces. I, we live comfortably and eventually the people of Iraq will also, because of their courage and strength. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be there. I am deeply sadned to hear of this recent tragedy and I want the family members to know that a day doesn't go by that I don't think and feel great gratitute for their service. These men and women are incredible human beings. These fallen soldiers will never be forgotten.
May God Bless you and yours over and over again.

Whenever death occurs, it is a final closure. No amount of words or extended condolences can ever replace the loss of a loved one. I do pray for ALL spiritual healing to those who must now pay the "extra" price for their sacrifice.
Our greatest tribute to these brave young soldiers and their families is to keep their memories alive and never forget their contribution to this country.
Although this does not meet even half of their sacrifice, the least we could do is give our continued spiritual support 24/7 until ALL our troops return home safely.
However, to these families who have recently suffered such tragic losses, I "THANK YOU" for your loved one's heroic efforts to keep our country free. "THANK YOU" for the ultimate sacrifice. "THANK YOU" for MY Freedom!

Aloha and Mahalo from the Richardson family, I followed Nainoa Hoe's services here in Washington, knowing that he was from Hawaii made it even harder to realize the freedom that these young men and women are fighting for. My family and I would like to express our sorrow to all the ohana's that have lost a loved one in Iraq or Afghanistan. The Hawaiian Ohana here in Washington would like to say Mahalo for making this country free and safe, and the sacrifices that you've given us. May God take you and bless you in his world that is much safer and free.
Aloha, The Richardson's

As a former member of the US Army and Marines, and as a long time resident of Hawaii, my heart is shaken by the news of this tragedy. I pray a few time a day for the safety of our men and women in uniform across the world, and, now, I pray for the courage and comfort of those friends and family left behind after this great loss. Take solace that these brave souls have gone to a better place, and that their love and spirit will always be with you.

I was stationed in Hawaii and lived on the Marine Corps base and I knew HM3 House. I am deeply saddened by his death and the death of the Marines ,we corpsman are taught to keep healthy and render care when they are hurt. House was a great guy and loved life and was very proud of his family and took pleasure in riding his Harley. He will be missed by those who were very close to him and those he touched by his kindness and carefree smile. Military personnel have special bonds with one another like family and when it hits home like this it hurts.
My deepest sympathies

No words can express the pain we are all feeling right now. Every mother and father, husband or wife, family member or friend feel the losses as if they are our own. Because they are our own. Their hands will salute no more, their smiles left behind in family photographs and memory. Their bravery, strength and beliefs fill us with pride and the loss of them the deepest of aches inside. Loss is never easy, but when you lose the best, the loss and ache you feel is immeasurable. May God bless the families and may they find strength and comfort that we are all praying for them and sharing their pain. Semper Fidelis
