A tribute to Pearl Harbor's Navy SEALs

Navy SEALs from Pearl Harbor were killed last week in a helicopter crash during a rescue mission in the rugged mountains of Afghanistan.

Military officials in Kabul said all 16 people aboard the MH-47 Chinook helicopter died in the Tuesday crash, including eight SEALs assigned to units in Norfolk, Va., and San Diego, which oversees SEALs at Pearl Harbor.

Wow,i am so amazed at what the soldiers did for us at Pearl Harbor. It is sad that they did not recieve a warning and many died without having a chance to fight.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of the families and friends of the courageous Navy SEALs who lost their lives. I proudly support all of our troops and appreciate their endless sacrifices for our country. I have a very good friend currently serving in Iraq. Knowing a soldier personally has given me newfound gratitude for the freedom that many tend to take for granted. All of the service men and women are true heros and will never go unknown. God bless all of our troops and their families.

More needless sacrifice towards a needless war. I send my most sincere condolences to those who have lost loved ones. Perhaps tragedy like this can be avoided. When will our government see that our sons and fathers are dying needlessly?

I've personnally known of Navy Seals and their family when I was station in Subase, Pearl Harbor in base housing. I know the sacrifice they and their families go through in peace time and especially at war to defend this country. Because of heroes like them, is the reason I fly my US flag outside my door.

Prayerful condolences to all the families of our heroes, without whose sacrifices there would be less freedom. May they never be forgotten and may God bless and comfort the families. From a Viet Nam veteran, Joe K (Psalms 55:22).

GODSSPEED TO THE SEALS AND THE BROTHERS WHO HAVE SERVED WITH MEN . MAY GOD STAND BY THEM AND SERVE AS A PILLAR OF STRENGHT IN THIER TIME OF NEED AND VOID. GOD HAS RECIEVED A MANY ANGELS BEFORE BUT NONE AS HE'S GOT THIS PAST WEEK. HE WILL BE WELL SERVED BY THESE MEN AND I KNOW THAT WE ARE ALL BLESSED TO HAVE THESE MEN STAND BY OUR SIDE AND SERVE AS OUR GAURDIAN ANGELS. GODBLESS THE BROTHERHOOD.

Only a war can take life so cheaply. Not enough "thank you's" can ever replace the void that was left behind for your friends and families to bear. "Thank you" anyway, for saving me from grief and suffering the way your families are now enduring. Although I can only see your face through pictures posted in the newspapers and the media, those pictures says a thousand words from me to you. That is the only connection I will ever have to say "God Bless You" face to face. Your purpose has been accomplished and it's time to move on to an even more beautiful place. I wish you well on your journey. Thank you again. Aloha
