Iolani holds off Saint Louis in ILH

Greg Hackler went 2 for 3 as Iolani topped Saint Louis, 5-4, yesterday in an Interscholastic League of Honolulu baseball game at Iolani.

The Raiders took a 5-0 lead after six innings and then held off a Crusader rally in the top of the seventh.

Ian Mopas picked up the win and Jarvis Nohara earned the save. The two combined to hold the Crusaders to four hits.

Cody Barrett went 2 for 3 to lead Saint Louis.

Scott Hiramoto tossed a four-hitter, striking out two and walking one in the complete-game effort, to lead the Buffanblu over the Monarchs at Ala Wai Field.

Kip Masuda went 2 for 4 and singled home Adam Tamashiro in the fifth inning for the go-ahead run to lead the Owls over the Spartans at Ala Wai Field.

Brett Ikei hit a solo home run in the first inning for Maryknoll.

Nick Freitas went 2 for 3 — both triples — and drove in four runs and scored three times to lead the Warriors over the Wolfpack at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Aaron Nichols and Stuart Kam each had two hits for Kamehameha.
