Sing Chow PacWest's top player in softball

University of Hawai'i-Hilo women's softball player Leo Sing Chow was named Pacific West Conference Player of the Year for helping lead the Vulcans to their first-ever PacWest title this season.
"I'm very honored," Sing Chow said. "I didn't do it alone. I wish there was an award to give to the whole team."
UH-Hilo's Callen Perreira was named Coach of the Year, and Hawai'i Pacific's Brandi Peiler was selected Freshman of the Year.
Sing Chow, a sophomore from Waipahu, batted .409 and also compiled a 9-3 pitching record with a 1.98 ERA.
She was the conference's 2003 Freshman of the Year, and the 2002 Hawai'i high school state player of the year from Kamehameha.
Peiler, of Mililani, was 11-1 with a 1.21 ERA, and batted .366. She was a 2004 all-state utility player from Kamehameha.
