HOMESTYLE TOURISM

VISIT 3 BIG ISLAND HOMES, BRUNCHING ALONG THE WAY, ENJOYING KEIKI HULA, GOODIE BAG

Chef Ann Sutherland, left, a North Shore native and world traveler who has held jobs as varied as acting as Ethel Kennedy's chef and serving as a hotel executive chef, has launched a new enterprise on the Kona Coast of the Big Island: Home Tours Hawai'i. Participants visit three homes (a local-style cottage, an oceanfront townhouse and a luxury estate) and, during the course of the morning, savor a progressive brunch menu devised by Sutherland and watch a keiki hula performance. And they depart with a goodie bag of local products and the recipes for the brunch dishes.

The morning tours operate Mondays through Saturdays. Cost, including transportation from some resorts, is $85. Information: http://hometourshawaii.com; 888-325-5772; 808-325-5772.
